runs fine in manual starts and stops when run crown test

Hi really need some help ought all parts from v1 including rambo mini runs fine in manual but when run crown test it starts then stops?

My gcode or yours, how are you running it? My hardware or yours?

Your g-code went step by step from website

also purchased all hardware from v1!

Unclear. I have actual gcode at the end of the tutorial, did you use mine or the one you made?

Can I copy and paste that code into something to use yours?

Ok I get what you are saying I used both and they both do the same thing moves z up and moves to starting point and stops when tries to move z axis down just sits there and motor hums?

Pictures please.

here are the pictures

Did you lube the rod, leave the nut a tad loose? Can you move it its entire range of motion with your fingers on the coupler easily?

Your Z axis is not built correctly, the lower mount is not right.

The corner tops are backwards as well but that part is not that big of a deal.

Ok rebuild z axis everything correct now but now will not run in manual either tried different motors in z port nothing do you think we shorted port or something is there a way to reset the board?

Did you ever unplug the stepper while it was energized?

yes once when I took the z axis apart. I guess that is a no no.

Yes, it is. Nothing should be plugged or unplugged from a live board. Typically the board can handle it, but I don’t know of any other way you could have killed it. You have a second Z port or the firmware can be manipulated to swap to an open port as well.

Try re-flashing the board first. if that doesn’t work we can try the other options that take more work.

I flashed the board same issue. You mentioned other z ports do I have to change the firmware to get that to work?

Just swap the pins number for Z and E0 in SRC/PINS/Pins_MiniRambo.h

Swapped the Z and EO! Z now works in Manual but when we hit x both x and y move and when we hit y both x and y move?

Any chance of static from your carpet killing the board?

Flash it back to stock and verify X and Y still work as they should.

I had a old hictop board laying around so used it everything works in manual and still does same thing as before moves z up goes to starting point and starts to move z back down stops and motor hums but does not move In manual moves completely free up and down. Think it is a setting in rep. host or something?

Oh! Also in rep. host the time of print says 4 hours that can not be right something wrong there?
