Hi guys I am having an issue trying to cut the strut plates, I set it up okay and start the air cut but even though I set up the zero point a the bottom corner it cuts the holes towards the Y axis as it where the X and vise versa meaning that we run out of X width because it is reversed somehow
Or completely reconfigure your endstops, firmware and stepper wiring to make the LR4 into Landscape Mode rather than Portrait Mode. But that ventures far from the Yellow Brick Road (YBR), and enters deeply into the dark forest leading to the Wicked Witch’s castle. (Which is why I did that on my LR3 - I like to venture into dark, scary forests…)
Rotating in EstlCAM is faster, simpler, and much closer to the YBR.
Weird. A few of us did art for LR4 struts with various options, and I think we all did the same thing, making the strut’s long axis on X, knowing full well that the LR4 cannot cut its own struts that way.
But the struts sit across the X axis so we think of them that way.
Oh wait… mine goes tall ways on the Y axis. I guess I was thinking abput how they would be laid out for cutting…
