Hey team,
I’m currently building a LR3 and I’ve searched this forum and had a look around elsewhere but just wondering if anyone has used the Rapidchange ATC or has found/developed a reasonably priced ATC. I don’t expect to have a solution for the price of a Makita 700 series, but also don’t really want to exceed $1500USD as the Australian exchange rate kills us.
Cheers all
You need to use a spindle with vfd inverter or at least a spindle motor with reverse to be capable of using it.
On the controller side they are compatible with fluidnc.

It looks like just the basic magazine costs as much as I spent building the machine… and I’m cheap
A full working Rapidchange ATC will cost you about 600+spindle with vfd (300~500) wich it is way less than the cost of atc spindles. If you care about the time lost in changing bits and setup z-height then go for it.
You mean like mounting a second router on a second carriage? The price is only a bit more than a second router but it is pretty involved.
