Are the chips as nasty as the acrylic ones?

Nice!

Those look fantastic!

Did you have any air assist or other cooling?

Winterizing the LR3… Moving from unconditioned garage to less unconditioned basement. Half torsion box is making a pitstop in the living area for upgrades, loosely disguised as a coffee table, at least until the separation threats are convincing.

Half torsion box rests on the 2x4 upside down rolling table.

Upside down table is intentionally janky, just enough scraps to help keep upright/stiff until LR3 is used to cut some custom utility panels…

Some time ago, I experimented with making an LR3 enclosure that uses a modular set of CNC’d and 3D printed parts. Burned bunch of time prototyping various fittings/tolerances…

Ended up with…

Extra hole was for a Pi+TFT, but that direction is in question given Jackpot now exists, also I still need to finish IDEX’n this thing.

Side panels have slots/cutouts for wiring, so you can do minimal a$$ hanging out wire up initially to get moving, and then, CNC the controller enclosure panels as an initial project (after making the struts). Designed enclosure so can assemble around an already wired up LR3.

Intention was that design has separate panels, and minimal PCB mount for easy modding/changing of controller/ports.

Clear enclosure so lights and wiring glory/issues are visible.

Sharing incase anyone’s interested in doing something similar.

Hello. great info thanks for posting for the L3. I have been looking for this same info for the L4. Anyone here happen to have a direction they can point me? TIA

I think none of us did a full video this time, but there are plenty of videos and the step-by-step instructions to help you out.

Any updates?

Beautiful!
