I have a mistake with home Z features
probe wires are plug to the Z min on the rambo1.4 board
I try to home Z with all existing command : From LCD menu, from repetier controller button and with the gcode G28 Z
all have the same result : Z axis go down for 2mm and then and goes back over the starting position without ever going down to the plate.
I tested the endstop state with the M119 Gcode and the defaut state is open and when the wire touch the probe the state is Triggered…
ok this morning I open my board box and before to make photos I test something:
I unplug the Zmin Wire on the RAMbo and then when I launch the HomeZ commande the Z axis go down to the work table without stop.
I test the wire with ohm-meter no short circuit. But when I plug the white 6wires extension cable provided with the board it work fine.
Is it possible that the length of the cable is involved?
I have swap it but didn’t change any thing.
It work fine if I plug an other cable, my previous cable was 2 wires of 6 wires cable used for the Z stepper motor may be contact with with a motor wire I have to check All the cable’s wires
I had same problem. Length of wires of your z-probe is too long, so it triggered by emi. First time i swapped wires so ground was connected to the bit, signal ware to the plate. It helped, but not too much.
