I updated to Estlecam12 and was wondering if the is a way to open older files from my Estlecam11 days?

Nope. Not backward or forward compatible.
Your best hope is to open the source file (DXF, SVG, etc.) that the v11 project was made from, and re-do all of your paths in v12.
The other option is just to keep both versions on your computer, using v11 for the older projects, and v12 for anything going forward.
