There are a couple of people here for the first 5 years. Philipp was too, but he never tried Marlin.
I dug out an old laptop and installed octoprint on it. It connected to the cnc no problem and i was able to upload my .gcode file and feed it to the cnc which went through all the right motions.
Now the rest of the learning can begin.

Nah, I joined shortly before the Primo, so around year 6.
I just disassembled my marlin based pre burly machine two months ago……but. It’s probably been 7 years since I configured or modified marlin. So I haven’t had much helpful to add.
And I never had any sad issues and barely experimented with using a gcode sender. So I’m reading along wishing I could help but can’t think of anything else to add.
Glad you got it working. I migrated from octoprint to klipper and really like that setup. Octoprint should work well.
