Off the wall issue

Skr 1.3

New boards, new tft, new firmware, then it makes no sense. But then the nut… Now all bets are off. Hopefully you didn’t toast both sets.

sadly, I think I did. Wont know for sure till Wednesday.

Nope, wasn’t the board…

Hmmmmm

Ghosts in the machine?

Not a single clue at the moment. I’ll have to put it on my logic analyzer. I have a feeling it might actually be the ribbon itself. But sadly I don’t think I have an extra laying around here. Might have to borrow one from work tomorrow

To the screen? It’s possible. Seems unlikely though. A SMD is more likely to burn up than a ribbon cable.

Thats what I thought as well. However, everything else has been changed. We’ll except the drivers, but thats highly unlikely seeing how those still perform correctly.

What about a loose intermittent connection somewhere?

Signal is begin sent from the monitor to the board. But now I have to believe that the signal, somewhere on the board, is being reduced. I have a feeling it could be one of the pnp’s. I’ll dig deeper tomorrow. Reverse engineering this board is daunting. Would be nice if it was open source.

The skr isn’t open source?

Schematics etc. here.
