O.k. weird OrcaSlicer thing here

So I am not an orca slicer pro at all. But today I found what appears to be a SYSTEM preset labeled klipper, but I can find no where on the internet that Orca includes this. Did I somehow import this and it went into system presets? Or does Orca genuinely have a Klipper preset?

oh, and I am test it right now. It took something that was 3:?? hours and went to 1:36, and it looks like it is working VERY well

Plot thickens, I just found these in the appdata,

but it does not show the .2 .4 .6 .8 in my selection. It must be something I downloaded

If you opened a .3mf from someone with embedded settings, then it will add it.

It’s one of the things I hate the most about Orca.

It should ask if I want to create a new profile, or just let me use the one I already have.

It seems like it does sometimes, but not all the time.

So I have to say, I need to evaluate the changes because it halved my time and it looks decent, better than decent actually

Did you open something from Ryan recently?

I feel like “MyKlipper” might be what I got from his models

So you’re saying @vicious1 has been holding out on us all and keeping a super rad slicer profile to himself.

I think it’s the opposite. You get it whether you want it or not lol

When I was starting with Orca with my V5, I was trying to keep it clean, but Orca wouldn’t let me open a 3mf without adding all the print/printer profiles.

It makes me never want to open any model that is shared as a 3mf.

That was the whole reason I started backing all my stuff up to github. I’m always worried I open one of those and it jacks my stuff all up

Oh, the suckage of that is now sinking in…

:-1:

Need to come up with some way to easily do that. Maybe

zip --delete filname.3mf "Metadata/Slic3r_PE.config"

edit: or maybe

zip --delete filname.3mf "Metadata/project_settings.config"

Because of course every slicer needs to do stuff differently or name the same stuff something random.

edit 2: Does anyone have a list of all the "Metadata/* " filenames that the various slicers use for profile stuff?

I found that of you have an object on the plate and import a 3mf it asks if you want the profile or not…it should do that every time.
