It looks like the wiring instructions are still applicable to the 3 with the exception of describing the GND as being closest to the middle of the board.
On the 3, it would be the pin closest to the edge - still the ‘bottom’ ping for GND and top for SIG.
I will tweak the instructions slightly on the directions to make it version agnostic.
