I just finished building my LR4 with a pre-flashed SKR Pro and TFT from V1E. All was looking good, but I decided I wanted to update the bed area in the firmware, since my table is a little small. After the flash, the touch mode doesn’t see a printer and Marlin mode is just a mostly blank screen.
I forgot to disconnect the TFT the first time I flashed, but I’m not sure that should result in what I’m seeing.
If it were me, I’d flash the V1 Marlin firmware back on and verify your TFT connects properly in Marlin mode. If so, then I’d go figure out how my changes broke the config.
If not, then I’d use known good V1 Marlin firmware to troubleshoot the TFT before attempting to flash my own custom firmware.
Indeed it was my own reading that got in my way. I was trying to flash it with the SKR 1.3 firmware instead of the Pro firmware. Thank you!
