Should be better now. It allows 5M, I don’t think much moire will physically fit .
Well everyone. I don’t want to get too far ahead of myself but so far so good.
All the upgrade kits are not sold out, I do have more I just did not want to get hit with 100 boxes on day one. Questions on all platforms are reasonable. Lots of positive energy, only one hater on YouTube and one on Twitter.
Now we wait for the builds to start showing up, I pack boxes and start filling in details and finish the instructions.
I am working on mine! I started a new topic for that though because this one is already incredibly long!
Just post a twitter handle, I’m sure we can take care of the rest.
Noooooo.
None of it was bad, just one of the first views on YT was a dislike…the only one. Really that is to be expected. They were probably disliking it because they were so early is was still in SD not HD. Still, lame.
And the Twitter is not the place to have an adult conversation, so best to just leave that alone and ignore it.
Truer words have never been spoken.
And if that Twitter “hater” is what you call a hater, that’s weaksauce… Not even decent shade.
Just found two different companies selling MPCNC hardware on the German Amazon site. One of them I expressly asked to not associate himself with me in any way. So now he is selling all sorts of MPCNC related stuff on multiple platforms and his own website.
People I urge you to consider your suppliers very carefully. If they are in it just for the money and you have never seen or heard of them Do not support them. Lowest cost only benefits you one time hurts the rest of us long term.
Those suppliers have never answered a single question to help anyone or handed over a single penny to support this. I don’t need to remove anyone if people just stop supporting them.
I know, I know, certainly not the way to grow a community or have an adult conversation. But the best place for an out of context meme that is both humorous and mildly infuriating at the same time.
I’m not worried about it, just almost a flawless 24hrs. A little hate shows you are someone to be paid attention to, I think.
I wonder how many printers are running right now with these parts!
I wish there was a way to know. 100, 1,000, 10,000?
+1 10 hours for 4 feet
I couldn’t imagine designing, printing, waiting hours and then it comes out and going “damn it, I forgot about …” That’s why you’re the engineer making the big bucks.
my filament should be here Friday and I’ll begin the printing process
I feel blind with no analytics. TV is broken so it shows zero views 400 downloads, PP show 774 views and 68 downloads.
Ughhhhh, I made you guys wait so long to get it…now it is my turn I have to wait forever for the builds to start showing up. And the videos, I want to see some videos!!! You all better not do the slow reveal to me!
I think I saw over the last couple of weeks that some beta tester was printing with a .6 nozzle – assuming a .4ish layer height. Any issues with this? Perimeters at this height? Seems like 3 would be plenty?
My wall thickness is 1.2mm. I think that is plenty. That is 3 with a 0.4, 2 with a 0.5. I have not seen a 0.6 that I know of.
Rounding. The larger your layer height the more inaccuracies you are going to get from rounding. As a simple example if your layer height is .4 and you have an opening that starts at .6 mm, it’s actually going to start at .4 and be larger or .8 and be smaller than the intended size. There are a lot of nuisances involved here; but the general idea is the same.
Yea that’s why i was asking. Before I set out printing with a larger nozzle I wanted to confirm that someone else has already done it. It seems like I recall someone else doing it but maybe just wishful thinking…
I printed all my Burly parts with a 0.6 Volcano at 0.4mm layer height. No issues at all. And I plan to do the same for the Primo.
Just remember that everything vertical is going to be a multiple of your layer height, so everything is going to have to round to that layer height. Some slicers have newer variable layer height features to alleviate this somewhat, but its always something to be mindful of.
