New MPCNC for 2020! - Primo -

OK, thanks for offering to review. The new thread is Prusaslicer 2.2.0 slow print times.

Meanwhile here on the Gulf coast… 2020 just doesn’t know when to quit.

Oh no…this year is really testing our abilities to see a silver lining in things.

I currently have 100% Work from Home… Meaning I’m NOT paying $400+/month in toll/gas bills to drive to work.

Same here (although I have no tolls, and the gas isn’t that much). But I did promise to wear pants for all work-related video calls. Haven’t opened my little privacy slider in months

We went from ~30% remote workers to ~97 remote workers in the course of a few days. We’ve been told not to use video on “calls” as our infrastructure isn’t (yet) built out to fully support it.

Still haven’t figured out how to do my job remotely.

That’s OK, I don’t remotely do my job…

Robots…

Any plans for a mostly printed surrogate?

Not today…

So I was pretty excited, thought the 23.5 was done. I missed that little core cutout on the Trucks by just over 1.5mm. I just edited them and will start prints now. That means I should be able to assemble it again this evening or tomorrow morning.

Have you ever entertained the idea of corner to corner belts? (Similar to Maslow, but 4 anchor points). Might take rail flex right out of the x/y slop equation?

From extensive Maslow experience, I don’t think corner-to-corner belts would solve any problems with the MPCNC and bring in a bunch more

So clean, so simple. Need to try it with the router cord tucked in.

Oh and…23.5mm Primo should be good to go this weekend. Fingers crossed a new batch of hardware will be here as well.

Dang. That looks great. Are you planning on using that color?

As my father would say " She sure is Purrty" As soon as the 23.5 parts are ready I’m firing up the Anet A8 with carbon fiber PLA. I can’t wait.

This one should be the colors I offer in the printed parts kit. I plan on keeping this one in the office so I can test boards and firmware much faster. I used to have one next to me at all times and it is very convenient.

First on the agenda to dial in the jerk settings now that we aren’t using junction deviation.

Looks so good, if I upgrade my Burly to Primo, I would almost not want it to get dirty. Almost.
