This pic from the docs is of my final beta build. It has one strip of 24v COB leds on it. And it was a 36" cut width machine. 1 strip is more than enough light in my opinion.
Cut it and keep the rest. Never know when you might want to add some light somewhere else. That stuff is super easy to work with if your not afraid of soldering like @Tokoloshe
