New Jackpot Failure

I just updated my MPCNC Burley from the mini rambo board to the Jackpot from V1. I configured Estlcam from the V1 site and copied and pasted the start ,end and tool change routines. I recreated a simple image on estlcam(one that i had carved before with the old board). When I go to run the gcode I get this message. One time it performed the probe ofset and the stoped but usually it just does nothing?

Not sure what is wrong or what i am doing wrong?

What firmware version do you have?

Here it is

Oh I think 3.7.17 might be one of the ones that, unfortunately, has issues.

FluidNC Firmware - The Current tested and confimed FluidNC version is 3.9.1 , use anything newer than this with caution. 11/1/2024- Configs updated as well, good idea to update them as well. Be sure to test homing after updates as some of the numbers have changed, also take note of your pull off values to keep things level and square after an update.

Updating / Installing Firmware

1- Preferred method - Browser Based

If the ESP32 is mounted to a Jackpot, then ensure Jackpot’s main 24V power supply is powered OFF before connecting a USB cable between the ESP32 and computer. The ESP32 can be updated while mounted, or removed from the Jackpot board.

If/when removing the ESP32 from Jackpot for flashing, be careful to not bend, or apply force to the ESP32’s integrated antenna.

Browse to FluidNC Web Installer ( created by Joacim ) using Chrome, or another browser that supports Serial API.

Within FluidNC Web Installer, select Connect, and follow the prompts. It is best to always start fresh by using the erase option.

Some PC’s will need USB drivers if your ESP32 is not recognized by the computer. If needed the ESP32 USB drivers are here Silabs CP2012 drivers.

After you have loaded the firmware you can use the file browser to load our configs and macros from here, Config and macros are here.

No, 3.7.17 is fine.

3.7.18 started the crashing issues

Ah right, thanks Mike. I’m get my coat…

The error code looks like an SD card issue.

What type of SD card are you using?

FluidNC can be kind of finicky with SD cards that are too big…

I would guess your SD card has problems, or it is having a problem at the configured communication speed.

If you have another SD card, I would try that first. Preferably a small 4GB card if you have one

Thanks
I will get a different sd card this is the one i bought

Might have to order one from Amazon, not a lot of options in Fairbanks Alaska

Other than size what else should I look for?

That’s a class 10, UHS 1 card. Not surprised at all there are issues. Try to find a class 4 or class 6 card.

Ryan sells this one which is a 32 GB class 4 card.

I’m using this 32GB class 4 card in my Jackpot with no issues. It might be the same as the one in the store.
