Strut plates finished. 1/8 bit settings were a wild guess. Slow but full one pass cut. Router at lowest speed.

How are those measurements? Are they spot on?

Nice build and cuts!

1/8" single flute upcut bit, 3mm DOC, Feed 127mm/min, Makita lowest (~10k rpm), Plunge 20mm/min, straight cuts (i.e. no Trochoidal or Oscillation), no Vac or air assist.

Cutting Alu 6061?

I have no clue but it did the job.

Just take your calipers and measure the holes and tabs? :stuck_out_tongue: It’s important (see above) that the struts are pretty accurate.

What brand/type/color filament did you use?? Had a itch to do the same thing but ended up just going all black

I think they ship internationally

That’s exactly what I wanted to do, to match my Makita! I tried one or two colors that just weren’t right. I’m the end I went with a “coordinating” color that’s lighter than Makita but in the same family. I bought it in-store at Microcenter, carrying my router in with me to compare options.

Thank you!
