I have bought a Neje E40 80W laser. From my time with resin printing there was a database with machine-defined settings with different materials. isn’t there one like that for lasers too? I know it’s only as a guide and the final settings need to be fine-tuned, according to my own preferences.
You should get some materials tests of your own, lightburn makes it easy.
If you register on the LAHobbyGuy forum there are some material libraries for lightburn - not sure if that’s one of them but worth a look.
he has a neje a40640 (that is similar to the e40) but it doesnt have as many materials tested. (also entered to see if he updated it and he did, but paywalled it so lol?
Op should get some materials he is going to be working with and do some raster tests, and some cutting tests, (it doesnt take a long time) and he can use it to dial in things. also a ramp test for getting the perfect focus is advised
