What made you go for the H2D? I am on X1C and I am thinking H2S or H2C.
i keep eyeing new printers, but then I never use mine. I have used it for v1e stuff, a few dumb things, but never do I regularly use it.
Help me obiwan! Tell me what do you guys print?
In my case, going from an old Reprap Mendel90 to a new Creality K1Max removed a lot of the pain points I was having and made it so that I use my printer for a bunch of stuff ‘on a whim’ again.
Latest prints were 3D printed hangers and anchors for rock climbing practice/instruction. Some more garden fittings like plant trainers, stakes to hold driplines in place, that kinda thing. Finger splints for a physiotherapist friend of mine who was having to import them out of the US at ridiculous cost. A hanger for holding a razer in the shower. Travel toothbrush holder. Spacer block so my external webcam doesn’t cover the screen when folded down. Spacer so that 18650 cells fit better in the holder on the battery tester I bought.
I have friends who shifted from a single colour 3D printer to a X1C with AMS and the multi-colour printing has revitalized their interest in it, that kinda thing.
I’ve also started looking more and more at some of the paid models out there, like print-in-place articulating toys, etc.
The next thing I think I’m going to embark on is printing a set of planters from this guy:

The main hold-up there is that it’s trying to be a patreon type business model where you pay $x per month and get y/month downloads, which is f’n awful. Just sell stuff a la carte.
I got some LED strip lights to put on the house. It came with adhesive and screw clips, but I don’t want to put screws into my soffit. So, I designed these clips. Once the white PETG I ordered shows up, I’m printing 50 on a single plate.
Where does the LED strip go?
What a great job on this accent light.
Oh man I love this thread!!!
The H2C was announced the day after Shaneh ordered the H2D. It’s also a smaller build area. H2S was never an option, wanted at least two different material capability.
This would have helped a lot with my boat floor
A little pricy though…
If you want something to print for a good cause this seems to be something worthwhile
hee hee, i just found this also! jaw almost hit the floor, i did not even think it was that price!
wow, they have 28 things for assistance!
OK…
Anyone else wigged out by the rip cut on the tablesaw not using the fence?
Check out the flip jig and the biscuit hold downs. I don’t think I have seen either before.
