This is super, if you have a need for a manometer or to measure speed using doppler. The phyphox app has isolated all the sensors in your phone so you can use them independently - yep there is probably an app for that - but it’s pretty mind bending just to scroll through - I mean, who hasn’t wanted to measure the speed of an elevator, or the frequency of spring resonance?

I’m pretty sure that if we had a project in mind, if we needed help, the phyphox forums would be there in a flash. I found it when I saw some astonishing results with a manometer test and have been playing around with some colour stuff, but the engineering potential is enormous.

We needed the location of some people walking around our robot and the customer paid someone to build this gps backpack and the other contractor built them poorly. We initially just bought a couple of android phones to test with and through the life of the project the phones worked much better than the backpacks. So well, in fact, it was hard to let them go at the end.

Curious how much that part cost to Fab? Building a 5 axis CNC using 3D printed and CNC’d parts for less than that one part cost would be a neat Ad.

Those flooded thingies always make me uncomfortable (also submerged pumps). Water and electricity do not mix is what I learned. I am also dreading my watercooler to leak some day…
