Sorry Graphite, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j2etu_A3E6A
Philosophy, duh!
Looks like Teaching Tech added a smaller V2 version of the space mouse. Hmm, I might give this a shot. Same link as the original.
Waiting to see your outcome!!!
Wish he had done a video on it. I think it is still kind of big!
I ordered what I needed. Will start printing soon.
Iām a bit concerned about it being weighted enough so it doesnāt tip. Instructions talk about it but not sure what heās using. I ordered some wheel weights.

I wondered about that as well. I know the space mouse I have is VERY heavy. That way when you pull up you donāt actually pick it up off the desk. Hopefully there is a way to weigh it down enough for the same effect.
The spacemouse weights 480g (16oz), we will need quite a bit of lead indeed
I am interested but I think Iāll wait for V3?
EDIT: Followed the white rabbit and now Iām also printing the parts
Itās pretty tall in fact, but thatās because the board is tucked beneath the joystick, I think itās quite easy to fixā¦
I finished printing the parts and assembled it, flashed the board, but Iām stuck in defining the custom spacemouse board in arduino ideā¦
Copy everything from
C:\Program Files (x86)\Arduino\hardware\arduino\avr
to ~\Documents\Arduino\hardware\daemonbite\avr
Well yeah⦠I donāt have this folder on my computer, soā¦
Where would you place the board?
If anyone has a zip of this folder, this would be greatly appreciatedā¦
Using the latest git release of arduino-avr only brings new compilation errors >_<
I found the files here:
C:\Users\[USER]\AppData\Local\Arduino15\packages\arduino\hardware\avr\1.8.6
Also printingā¦
Thanks!!! It worked!
Iāll create a dedicated topic for anyone interested
This would be an amazing makerspace project. Create your own 3d mouse for the upcoming CAD-course!
Just chuck a couple of these in the base.
