I have been working remotely for about 5 years. It is great. It feels different with everyone else here all the time.
Congrats on the new job.
Yes, I’m celebrating being 1 step closer to seeing your multi material mod:)
Hi all, sorry for the revival. I’m just after some feedback/user experience with the printed linear rail z axis. Eg: would that little motor be strong enough to raise a neje laser?
I was going to design my own core xy laser engraver but after stumbling upon the great work you guys have done, that task has become much easier. And I welcome any project that will help me clear our some of my 608 bearings too
I don’t have easy access to decently priced al extrusion so will more than likely be making it with 40x20 al RHS or 20mm SHS (my first printer was a salvaged anet a8 with a broken frame that I rebuilt using al RHS).
I have a fixed focus laser and plan to be using different height materials so adjusting z height is a must!
David and Aaron have you guys shared your STL’s or project files for your core xy work? I’d really like to take a look. Or would welcome any other suggestions. I recently purchased some linear rails on special for the x and y so at least I won’t have to print and build those
By the way, I’ve used a bunch of the cheap bearings from Ali express with the little plastic covers that you can pop off. I’ve found filling them with axle grease really quietens them down (but also helps keep dust and debris in if they’re not protected).
sir do you make sls printer
