Tell me about it - not the easiest requisition form I’ve ever done. It’s an interesting machine but their software is…not good. But it works with lightburn.
Up there with the time I submitted a requisition for a couple hundred bucks worth of duplo Lego blocks.
To be fair I didn’t get as much pushback on that as I thought I would. I don’t what that says about the opinion my bosses have of me. ![]()

I worked for a large private company and we would have a budget that expired on Dec 31 every year. Anything we didn’t spend went into some general fund. We called it, “Cinderella money” and we always bought the coolest tools on Dec 31. That’s when we bought our first CNC, which was some machine made for milling PCBs.
Yeah. Those were the days! At my own large employers back in the 80’s and 90’s, we had “end of the year money” that would show up in mid December. Most folks didn’t bother, but I quickly learned to have a stack of purchase orders ready for approval. One could often accomplish a significant increase in their annual budget if you were ready. Typically as much as $50K.
When I was in college, the state fiscal year ended on June 30. June was the annual “use it or lose it” budget exercise.
