My 1st lowrider mill attempt

I know its not normal but after I finish building the Lowrider3, and not having any experience in cnc milling, I was called by a friend and told me that they where going to theme an Airb&b house with Star Wars props. I asked him if I could help! (I grew up with Star Wars).
After several, several hours of using the lowrider3 this are the results.

Reminds me of this.

Well, at the beginning I did and after a few days I realized that i did need the reinforcement and I mill 2 of them an they did add more stiffness to the machine

Thanks for adding more pics, that is so great!

I’m almost done with a 3d carving, I’ll post when it finishes and I don’t have struts either, kept messing it up and then realized I just need to make smaller projects until my garage is organized and I can put it in a forever home!

This work on this post is what I aspire to make one day though! Absolutely incredible!

Please, before hand, I do apologize for my english and my grammar mistakes. I’m from Peru and live in Chicago. My story with this type of technology started around 8 years ago when I bought a 3D printer for my 7-year-old son. We started printing small toys, tinkering with simple stuff, but I did have the wonder and did want to use it to print something more interesting, more useful. So last year, I thought about a CNC milling machine and saw the LR3 design. I loved it from the beginning! And thought, “I will have one of this.”
I ordered the filament and started my prints, one by one. I ordered the parts and started to build the LR3 in my basement. When one of my friends from childhood that lives in Virginia told me about the project, I took apart the LR3, put it in my carry-on, and flew to Virginia. From there, 3 of us drove to Orlando to reunite us with the Fourth mosketire of the project and where the Airbnb was located.
We are not builders or anything like that! So it took us 6 weeks to finish the project.

This project is amazing. Great designs and excellent execution. How did you design it? Did you just CAD each wall or did you have an immerse walk in design?

I’m also curious about painting. Was it easy to paint after it went up?

P.S. I would not have known English is not your native language. I hope you enjoy Chigago.

Man, this sounds like so much fun to do with a good group of friends.

Did TSA (airport security) say anything about a suitcase full of hardware?
