needed a reason to do a multilayer epoxy pour, so I used my mother’s leatherwork logo as a a basis.
Wood is Alder, carved and pocketed on my Lowrider2 - pingpong build. Stained the MW of the logo, clear epoxy over the front face then filled the pocket with gold epoxy. Black for the v-carve, then a float layer of clear, blown over with a heatgun for a glass finish (amazingly no sanding or polishing required, and no bubbles either!). wood coated in danish oil, beeswax and then furniture polish.
It could have been a paperweight but I wanted to try a jig hack I saw online, so it became a pencil-holding paperweight! All good provided you steal a pencil from IKEA!
