Ok i have to admit, i am getting anxious for Friday! I have talked about mrrf for years but have never made it!! I hope that it really is fuller than the videos of last years!

Well it will be fun not matter what!! There does seem to be less Buzz around this one than any I can remember. In all honesty, that is not a bad thing. Having room and time to talk to others would be its own kind of fun.

What is the final width of your build? If you have no other plans for it we can slap a pen on the router and do some drawings. I can bring the mount, pen, paper, double sided tape, or grab anything from Manards just let me know.

Little shy of 36” physical, 22” usable width. Plan is to let you do whatever you want. Planned on drawing. I wondered if I embedded screws in the surface and then held the paper with magnets. We can play a bit with that when we get there.

Let me know if you need me to bring anything else from home. I have a large pickup that will be mostly empty.

Well if you have extra conduit a piece table width and some braces, or we can just print them there. For the Y axis. I have some belt holders that can go over the edge of the table, I made a note to bring them.

Getting excited, I leave here like 3am tomorrow

Small pipe cutter and deburrer if possible to trim conduit, and printed end caps? Got spare belt? Was nice to see young curious visitors exploring things at RMRRF, even if they were mainly excited by free stickers.

I only have a large cutter, and I have a deburr. I can bring both if needed.

I have 3/4 conduit if needed also. If needed, how long, I can cut before I leave too

I have conduit i will bring. I have built a table for the show and will have it mounted to that. The table is 24ish by 48 and has legs about 10" with Custom V1 logos on them. should sit on a banquet table well. Jazzy. I will send pics once complete,

will bring pipe and cutter, for a deburrer, i have files. Good call on end caps. Printing them now. Is there a need for end caps on the 3/4 conduit used on the gantry? I cant imagine they would be needed.

Hey, how is that programmed, I see it only cuts one way, which probably makes a cleaner cut, that is not estlcam is it?

Looks like @jamiek’s Surfacing gcode generating web script to me…

Can try out at https://vector76.github.io/gcode_tpgen/index.html

And/or read/edit his code at https://github.com/vector76/gcode_tpgen/blob/master/index.html

Exactly. Even if single-direction is not needed, I find it much quicker to set up, and it does perimeter first, climb milling, to prevent tear-out.

Look forward to meeting you at the show! And anyone else who shows up!

Okay, I’m here, I ate, and I am tired.

Just found out they decided to open the doors from 6-9 today. If I get in there tomorrow and all the tables are gone again I will not be happy.

Already thinking about breakfast and coffee. If anyone has any suggestions let me know I will check in in again before I fall asleep.
