MPCNC and Fusion 360

Hi everyone!

Is there a guide somewhere on how to configure my MPCNC running Marlin in Fusion—specifically for things like a touch plate, tool changes, and so on?

Also, how can I generally do 3D milling from both sides with it? Estlcam handles this automatically.

To be specific, I’m working on a bass guitar neck that is too long for my machine. I’ve seen videos on how to machine the workpiece in multiple segments, but specifically using Fusion.

Once you have a good post processor, the settings we have listed for estlcam will translate over from the milling basics page pretty easily.

Any reason not to just use Estlcam?

I normally use ESTLCAM—I like it a lot and actually bought it. I might already have a solution in mind for the issue of the workpiece being too long. If it were a 2D milling job, I wouldn’t have a problem, but unfortunately, it’s a 3D milling job.
