You can redirect from one to the other, right? I think they are both fine. I usually reference “the forums”, but I don’t know why.

I would recommend pointing them all using CNAME or ALIAS. Then you just have to make sure the web server is setup to redirect to whichever one you want to actually use. That way if someone fat fingers it like me, it still makes it.

It also is a consideration the type of certificate you have. If you are doing a wildcard certificate for v1engineering.com you are likely golden, if you’re getting the certificate one per domain you’ll want to limit the number of CNAMEs you point at the new forums, since each will have the certificate cost against it.
Interesting. I was just messing with that yesterday. I don’t think I have to pay for them they seem to be included with my hosting package. I have a wildcard for V1, and not for shop, forum, docs. I have not messed with the cname yet.

I still need to do some minor tweaks, I had to submit some questions, themes, and stuff. It is currently password protected (hidden from google), I hope to give you all here in this thread the password to have a look at it, hopefully tonight or tomorrow. Once we get to take a good look around for issues then I have to schedule the actual move. I am hoping for a late Friday night.
Lots of cool stuff, lots of new stuff to figure out on my end. It might be a little rough for the changeover. There is very little documentation, everything is a link to there own forums. Glad I paid for a specialist to help for sure.
Right now the attachments are at the bottom of each post instead of where we inserted them, some of the other pictures have the wrong aspect ratio, and youtube links are just links not previews Just need to be on their own line. Other than that, I think we are good. There are some “badge” questions and everyone might have to start at “level 0”, not sure. Other than that it is ugly with a nasty color theme.
edit- Figuring more things out. Getting closer to letting you animals in to see it.

Okay here we go.
This is on a test server so slower than normal. No notifications. Email is turned off. Anything you post I believe will be deleted If not I will delete it before the switch so feel free to try it out, it is a week behind the current forums.
Anyone reading this can give it a try but lets not share it or anything yet. There is a lot of work still to be done. It looks like they are still pulling in info as well so things changed a bit this morning.
We are looking for issues.
The theme sucks right now but it is different than any theme I have played with so give me some time or suggestions, I think the category pics gots to go?

Can you change the names of the categories? the lower-case-names are hard to read.
