Just wanted to wait and do some testing before replying again but I think my problem might be finally solved.
I did mainly two things:
1.- Secure the stepper to extension connections with electrical tape (keeping the S bend). I made it sure that the tape holds the connection tight even if the cable will bend up and down as the core moves cutting
2.- Used a rewirable plug to connect the hose spiral wire to ground.
After doing these two things I have managed to cut 2/3 full sheets with no further issue. If I have to guess I thing probably the issue was more related to number 1, because even when I cut only single small pieces sometimes I got the hiccups, and in that case probably there was no time to build up a significant amount of static. Also matches with the fact that only the X stepper moving the core left and right was having this problem. Probably as the core moved left and right cutting it wiggled the cables and the connection between the stepper and the extension to the jackpot controller, did a bad connection and missed steps. The Y and Z steppers dont have this issue cause they are just there sitting and never move like the cables for X do.
Once again I want to thank everybody for the patience and time they invested in helping me with my issue. Hopefully this post will help other people in the future as well. And fingers crossed it doesnt come back again!
