On a coupe notebooks when I switch wifi to FluidNC they automatically go through a routine I have not caught as it flashes something like “MFST…” ? not sure the I get Captive Portal and WebUI opens on my browser. Pretty automatic.
On my desktop, which is 30 feet away, I easily have to start to type in the browser 192.168… then it auto shows the V1 logo and the full string and I just easily hit enter and the WebUI opens.
Just curious. What this automatic mode is versus manual entry? Is there was to control it?
On a desktop, the captive pop-up should have a link that you can click. It is pretty easy.
On a mobile, that popup link doesn’t work for, and you usually have to tell it not to fall back to real internet. Then manually open a new real link (I use a bookmark on the screen after I “use network as is”)
I don’t understand why, I have been told a bunch of times, but it never sticks.
The other way that it can be different is if the only automatic network is fluidnc then things can be a little easier, but can also cause problems if it keeps trying to auto-connect and crashes the esp32. For the most stable experience never auto-connect.
