LR4/LR3, show me your IPA Mister setup 2026

2024 Show me your IPA Mister setup was helpful.

Curious to see cooling setups used on current LR4 and LR3 builds. Hoping folks will share pics, details, results and learnings from their air mist cooling setups.

Bought parts 18mths ago, but I only partially installed :poop:. Am only now getting around to ‘finishing’ the upgrade out of necessity for some other projects that also need finishing.

Shared 2min video overview of where I’m at… Most of the parts were recommended by @Bartman, @DougJoseph and @Jonathjon. Thanks guys!

My wife says I’m full of :poop: when it comes to getting pet projects done. She may be onto something

 yeah, I was trying to delete the redundant post after merging content into the first one. I swear that used to work, maybe there was a Discourse update, permissions change or something (?). I dunno, I’m just going to blame AI for the regression…

Looking fantastic! You will like the mister. When I was using trochoidal milling, I did not use any mister, no cooling, and had no issues. Splendid results. If you add the mister, you may be able to cut decently deep without using trochoidal. I bought the mister, but never bothered to set it up!

I’m a big fan of trochoidal milling. If you use both trochoidal and your mister, your bit will stay so cool, that who knows how long it will stay sharp!

You guys are my people.

Had LR4 for 1.5yrs, and only just ‘clicked’ that 2040 Aluminum extrusion can fit nicely between braces for light duty tasks…

EDIT: Can’t find in the docs, so… Below’s a reminder for me (and anyone interested) on using zipties to secure stationary vac hose.
