You’re assembling a CNC machine, it takes some fiddly time.

And to top it off, I thought. I will build it this weekend, started building the core, only to realize I forgot to print the Marita mount, then realizing I didn’t print any of the braces, temp mounting plates, box to hold the board. Because I started printing everything 3 months ago and ran out of filament, I wish my brain was more then a hat rack sometimes

Please note. When crimping the spade connectors, do not apply so much force you cut the wire.

Also, don’t cut your x belt at the same length as your x rails.

Thanks! I work at a hotel and we had a remodel about 1 or 2 years ago. I saw those and thought 2’x4’ desk, those would be perfect. So I grabbed 6, 2 for the house 4 for the Lowride. The only concern I had was the middle span is 33 cm with no supports, which the docs say is a little sketcy, it should be ok.

One beautiful capability of the LowRider is the ability to bootstrap your own table. Once you get that running, you can use it to make a really nice truss box that can then sit atop your desks. Or, you could completely build a replacement table with the plans already on the forum.

Nice progress on your build.

I got the y belts on tonight. I’m hoping tomorrow night after work I can cut the struts.

I was a little hasty. Broke a bit, pushed to hard, should have done some test cuts in foam. Sad face. Tomorrow will be better! Also left the bit a little too long. Snapped it in half.

What settings were you running?

The cuts are also off, the notches and corners aren’t sharp but round and the edges not parallel. Something is definitely off, I’d say loose core.

Yeah. It’s what’s I get for talking smack about the 3d alien head as a first cut.

25mm/sec @ 6mm depth with my makita router between 4&5. As it was traveling it looked like the bit was flexing so I sped up the makita and 3 seconds later snap. I’m glad it was stuck in the wood and not sent flying across the garage

Too fast too deep with temp struts! Tension your Core as well. Try for 15mm/s and 3mm DOC
