LR4 in Seattle!

When I think I’m going to have lots of USB cable install / removal cycles on an ESP, I add epoxy staking in this part on either side of the connector. Seems to work well enough for me.

You do not need to be connected while it cuts, just log back into your regular internet.

Sorry about the port, that is odd. While we have seen this a couple times we are now selling at least 5x Jackpot vs SKRs. Once a user is on the newer firmware the instructions will to be use over the air updates and the current instructions will just be for users with first gen firmware to get them past the bug. As for the port itself, I used several different styles, but in the end I do not sell the V1 ESP32’s anymore and have not for months, only genuine espressif for now. (as a side note I think the cheapie $4 esps work again)

Yep, definitely not an issue with the Jackpot, just the ESP. And I don’t think I’ll really need the port going forwards, so no worries.

One thing to consider is just leaving the USB cable plugged in. That’s what I’ve done since I switch back and forth from the router to the laser using Lightburn regularly on my MPCNC.

I’m rebuilding my machine slightly larger as a test of my table generator. This means new struts and stuff.

I’m excited to get the wiring set up a little nicer too.

The machine is back home. My living room is clear of projects again!

Still need to square it and maybe flatten the top, but I’m feeling pretty jazzed about the new table. First tests indicate it’s much flatter to start than the previous iteration.

Glad to see this post. I was certain you were going to upset someone running in that nice room above
