I have not been using my LR4 lately and went in this weekend to do a project. When I was homing, the x-axis failed to home. After some investigation, the top of the gantry is hitting before the limit switch triggers, so it looks like the gantry is not square anymore. What is the procedure to resquare after it is built? I didn’t want to take too much apart if there is an easier way.
Z axis limit switch? Check if mount for Z endstop has moved/cracked and needs adjusting. If endstop mount is at lowest position possible (and endstop still doesn’t engage), then, slightly bending endstop lever arm can help microswitch to engage sooner before gantry tops out at max height. Shouldn’t need to bend endstop lever arm normally though, that smells like something else might be happening though, if still struggling sharing pic might help.
For XY squaring, there’s a few options, already seen Squaring helper ?
Sorry, I was not specific enough. It is the y-Z assemblies that are not square with the beam, so when the x-axis homes, the core hits the y-z assembly at the top and the x-axis limit switch does not trigger.
