LR4 foot print

I am trying to decide if I want to go to LR4 for full sheet capabilities.

What am I looking at for table size? Need to make sure it would fit in available space.

Check out the calculator. You’re looking at roughly an extra foot in both directions on top of the material size.

The table I built for full sheets ended up 5’ X 9.5’. Y cut length is 2557mm and X cut length is1225mm. Hopefully that helps to make your decision.

A related question, in the normal router configuration, what is the offset of the router? For example, if the router is at X min and Y min, what is the distance from the center of the router bit to the edges of the table? Assuming the table was built to the specification in the LR4 calculator.

Well, here is some data from the Parametric Table thread that might help.

Parameter X_Actual is defined as X_Usable + 2*YZ_Thickness + 126mm + 180mm

From this is stands that the minimum X position that the tool can address is 126mm + the thickness of the YZ plate from one side and 180mm + the thickness kf the YZ plate from the other side. Assume that “side” in this case is the outside line of the belt holders.

The Y_Actual breaks down from a few more parameters to be 149mm from the front edge.
