After one of those days when life has just got in the way at every turn, at 3:30 I finally got downstairs and installed the new front stops. They are super easy to adjust as one would expect with the slot.
While I was at it I printed a couple of shims - 0.9mm high and less than 1c worth of material, but they take all of the slop out of the dovetail.
I was going to use the orange test pieces I printed earlier but I thought hang the expense, if I run out of money I’ll borrow some from my kids! 
The silver ones are nigh on invisible and it still slides buttery smooth.
Now to dismantle those looms to get to the "Y’"s!
