LowRider3: European adventures

Yeah, I thought it would be possible to adjust that during squaring process…

And why do you think it’s not great idea to put aluminium bar for lowrider to ride on?

My thinking behind this is: I can’t get mdf/plywood long enough (3m) to use at ends of table and I don’t want to have a “bump” when connecting two pieces of anything.

I could use lumber but this seems like worse idea then aluminium.

OK, so I have found some suppliers with mdf and plywood in bigger sheets, so might be able to just use that to cover whole table.

You’re right it is, I wasn’t thinking straight (no pun intended).

Hi everyone! Last month was not very eventful in terms of LowRider. Work is to blame! I slowly recover and find more time to do stuff. So I managed to actually finish the build - I mean I installed struts and put everything back together. Table is finished as well. I connected my dust collection/router through fan0 on SKR and this works great.

I connected Z-probe and tried it once, but when it touched the probe it looked like SKR’s reset itself? Why can that be? I mean, steppers lost power for brief period and screen went black for second or two.

I suspect I have to change places of wires going from the probe into controller board… could that be it?

Z-probe is working as expected now! Getting close!

It is annoying there is no way to run gcode snippets from touch screen. Or is there?

If the snippets are on an SD card, as individual files, then yes, just select the correct file.

Can macros serve the purpose you’re looking for? If not, as @Bartman mentions you can select any file on the SD card.

Ah, yes - this will work indeed! I will check “files on card” way of working

What about macros? How do I use them and what they are? Where would you normally put probing code snippet - file on card or macro?

sorry, above post was waiting as draft for weeks, I just forgot to click send…

anyway, I came to update you about my progress. It’s not bad, but could have been better
