Excellent work! I’ve got a bunch of pumps and fittings from my electrical homebrewing days I need to put to good use.
Eh, not really, but each to their own, I guess. Best to stick to known products for anyone who doesn’t feel comfortable around mains level electrical.
Emi.
Is what filters are for, yes. ![]()
Like I said, for people who aren’t comfortable, etc.
Or for people who don’t like chasing down gremlins and covering their shop in foil until they pull their hair out.
Nope, just needs to be designed properly up front. EMI isn’t a big scary monster for anyone familiar with it and, like I said above, any feedback should be isolated anyway which means you’ve automatically got good control over any common mode path so it can be done with relatively simple filtering.
But again, each to their own
If you’re not comfortable designing something like that then definitely just use the pre-existing ones, but if you look at some of the DIY designs around and even a teardown of a couple of the cheaper commercial ones, it should be obvious that it’s pretty simple.
I’ll look forward to your open source designs bud!
That’s the spirit, lol.
I think this conversation ceased being in good faith a while back and has thoroughly derailed this comment thread more than it should have, so leaving this here. Have a good one.
