I agree on the floor space, but for a regular full sheet one now need an oversized table, looking at my local distributors that’s either expensive or not available:(
Just ordered my LR3 kit. VERY excited to get started on the build!! 
Okay who here is from Australia, if you are what the heck is going on over there? More than half of all my orders over the last two days are going there. Compared to one or two a month.

I haven’t ordered yet, and usually there’s a lot of push-back because of the freight costs, but we’ve just had an election and a new government - that always causes decisions to be made!

Man, Australian shipping is all over the board. No USPS currently, UPS some boxes are $85 some are $129 for the same stuff. So far it is staying pretty good ratio but too many $129 and I would have to change the rates.
I think most of us are used to that - this from FB this morning. Your shipping blokes think we are a long way away and from my experience USPS is worst of all. I used to have friends in Canada re-ship things for me in the bad old days, and there were even companies here or specialised in re-shipping because many US companies just don’t want to deal with those problems - thank you for standing by!

How sensitive to the thickness of acrylic would the strut plate strength be? I’m finding 3/16", ~4.76mm, or 1/4", which is apparently +/- 6mm. Thinner is better from cost and shipping $$$, but not so much to risk degrading performance.
Is it just a minimal issue that might be improved with an extra brace?
No more than true 1/4" (6.35mm) less is fine.

Just got done printing an XZ plate and the image of the milled part doesn’t quite match the printed part. There is a small crescent shaped hole missing in the printed.
Is this an artifact of manufacturing, or a mistake? I can probably drill out the hole if it’s needed

I noticed the printed pieces are not the same on left and right. I assume the 2D profile is designed to accommodate both sides with a single part.
The printed parts do not need them.

In the US, is it okay to use 3/4" EMT for the main X (brace-23p4) and then use 1/2" EMT (rail-block-18p1) for the Y rail, I already have a 10’ length of each on hand?
Absolutely. The two rails are not dependent on each other and the 1/2" EMT is perfectly adequate for the Y rail.
I think that is the ideal combination. I thought I put that in the parts list but if not I will!
That guidance is on the parts list. 3/4 for truss, 1/2 for the Y. I only know this because I have 8 18p1 rail blocks printing right next to me
