Little problem with plywood"cut"

Hi there all,
I just begin to test some cut in plywood (18mm)
I use a cinese spindle of 1.2kW and 6mm wood cutter like this.
I cut at 600mm/min and at 3 times Step Down of 6.4mm in order to cut 18mm.
The spindle at about 12.000 RPM.

Some time the cut is ok:

But sometime the cut is like this:

Anyone can give me some idea of why it cut like this please ?

Thanks in advance
Denis

Looks like it’s chattering, you’ll have to play with speeds and feeds. Try slowing it down some and/or take a smaller cut. These machines inherently have some flex and it’ll get worse in the center of the workspace. Also verify that nothing is loose or has extra play.

Learning on my MPCNC too. I finished it about a month ago. Have been learning about speeds and feed rates for it too. Just finished a couple plywood projects with it. Found if I take too deep of a cut per pass it’ll cause a lot of chatter like what you are showing. For my 6mm spiral upcut bit I found the following settings to work for me: spindle 14000RMP, depth 2mm, speed 900mm/min.

Ok thanks a lot all,
I’ll test tomorrow some of speed and feed.
The problem is that my spindle make only 12.000 RPM…
But I’ll make some attempts

Thanks a lot again

Hi the all again,
today I understand that my core (middle of X and Y) is vibrate.
I take off the spindle and also with out spindle have lot of vibrations.

If I make only X move is not vibrate
If I make a Y move, is not vibrate
If I make a diagonal of X and Y, begin to vibrate :frowning:

Can anyone help me again please ?

Thanks a lot again
Denis

A video would help.

i make a lot of test and at the end
I understand that the X and Y in the middle (I don’t know the names)
had the Gantry Rail Tension Bolts (on Core Clamp) too strong.
I have make is a little soft and the problem was solved.
Sometime is vibrating again but just a little.

Thanks all
Denis
