Let's see your shop

Alright, it’s tiny, but it serves my purpose… Unless it’s winter

Thanks! They’re very bright. They flicker a bit though.

Check the light switch you are using. I had some new LEDs that started flickering and found out the switch I had them on didn’t like LEDs. Put a new one on it and that fixed it.

Shop? My LR4 is my “shop” … and then some!

Very much still a work in progress - I’ve given up on trying to clear the sawdust until I have working dust extraction, and I definitely need to do something more proper with the electrics. Still trying to work out how best to store feed stock as well… Oh how I wish I had even a fraction of the space of most of you!

Aside from the CNC shed, I do actually have another small shed I’m converting into a workshop of sorts - it’s what’s holding up the other end of the LR’s porch  Nothing worth sharing at the moment, but maybe in a month or so! :stuck_out_tongue:

Where’s all the dust!

I gotta build me some of those hexagons…

Perfect!!!

He stole my idea. They are identical to the ones inmy 100 year lod basement

Been setting myself up for laser usage, almost there, getting excited!

Still plugging away.

Added another wall in this section. It used to be sunk in, and was the other side of Shaneh’s office. New wall is rockwool insulated and has about a 10 inch gap to the old wall. I can run my saw in the shop now and she can barely hear it.

I love seeing new spaces like that. Especially because you have so much room.

We moved since I started this post, and in the new house, the wife wants to be able to park her car in the garage, for some ridiculous reason #winter so, adding 20 feet to the front

This also means, the back of the garage will have the shop AND a golf sim… (10’ ceilings are so nice)

The shop itself is a disorganized mess though, and the CNC isn’t even setup :frowning: which is a problem needing resolution.

Now I need to start working on the miter saw rails. Going to make them removeable so I have all the bench top space available.

That is one heck of a shop conversion!

Now that I can move around a bit again, got this part done. Need to go get some longer bolts. Oddly enough, I’ve run out of 5/16ths bolts!

Bumping this topic I’ve found inspiring/helpful.

Neat seeing Ryan’s recent full size table base come together (and kindly shared plans, cheers!). Neat following along learning about things like Mike’s CNC’d plywood based full extension drawer slides, and howto video.

Hey @Jonathjon, how are the sliders, would you recommend them?

Reason for bumping... Curious if others have been doing more indoor workbench/workshop upgrades as winter approaches? Also...
Current 💩 Show State...

Next step(s)…

Goal state...

Probably Philipp cleats and Mike/Jonathan's full extension drawers??
