LCD screen not working

Hi,

I’ve just finished assembling my MPCNC. I can connect to it and make it move using Repetier-Host. I purchased the board (mini-RAMBo) and the LCD (FULL GRAPHIC SMART CONTROLLER, BIG) from the store at the same time. So my understanding is that I should have firmware that can run the LCD. I connected the screen as pictured with EXP2 from the LCD plugged into the port closer to the ATMEL chip and EXP1 the plugged in to the further away port.

When I power it on the screen doesn’t change at all. I’ve tried adjusting the potentiometer at the bottom left of the screen and it does nothing. I do hear a clicking sound from the speaker every 0.5 second or so. I have not touched the firmware.

Did I miss a step? Any ideas what I can try?

Thanks,

Dan

Look very closely at this picture:

Red stripe goes right on board to left on lcd. You have it left on board to left on lcd.

Or you can just try all combinations but if you look carefully you should be able to get it right without a lot of attempts.

Thanks! The PCB showed a picture of a notch that matched the plug and I plugged it in that way, I didn’t even think that it might represent something else so I didn’t look at that part of the picture that closely. It’s working now. Thanks again.
