Hi, so I tried to take a look at what other people have tried and done to get the LCD display working with the Rambo 1.4. Sadly, I have not had success. So does the attached pictures indicate that the components are plugged in correctly and the firmware is correctly edited? I have also tried force reversing the direction the wires are plugged into the LCD display.
To flash the board, I connect the board and click upload, is there a different way it is supposed to be done?
Any ideas to what I am doing wrong? Any help would be appreciated.
(What the heck, the attachments don’t seem to be working)
Last thing to add: I have tried all 4 permutations of plugging the wires in, 2 of them doesn’t light up the LCD, 2 of them lights up the LCD but there is no text or anything shown on the screen.
My firmware is already to go wit that screen, you should not have needed to flash. You did not flash it correctly you do not need to add those lines. Look at my firmware page and use the most current version as is.
As for plugging it in there are only two options as port 1 goes to port one on both boards, after that 50/50 chance of getting it right.
That is weird though, I figured it came pre-flashed but it did not work originally out of the box. I’ll try it again tomorrow after using the version on your page and update if necessary.
