JJ's ERCF V2 Build

Just came across this topic… marvelous :+1: for I just bought a kit.

Doubted if I would print the parts or just buy them.

Decided to print but ran in to problems from the start… the holes are oval, trying som things out now to correct it.

Beld tensions , speed, bolds tightening everything up etc. etc.

Now printing supports (tree) to see if that fixes it.

Will read this topic while printer is at it…lot to read :upside_ down_face:

My gear:

Voxelab Aquila printer heavily altered …linear rails , raspberry pi running klipper Sprite pro extruder etc.

As seen on this photo changed filament manually and that’s why I bought the ERCF v2 kit… will however keep the extruder , think I’ll install a sensor on top of the extruder , but see no possible way to mount a cutter (yet)

Also doubt if I will be needing/using a buffer, trying to do without , its only a nit of filament at the back , will see.

Sorry if the English is a bit weird now and then , I’m Dutch , doing my best

yes , print plate suggests its an ender 3 , It’s not , I’t’s a clone but the bedplate is simply the best for me.
Everything sticks well on it :+1:

Good luck! I got a few prints out of mine then just completely ran out of time to mess with it anymore. It has been passed along to @Michael_Melancon for further tuning and hopefully get it working great

Thanks, update…
I think I’ve printed it all now.
Photo shows what…the rest is in a box…
It still amazes me sometimes that the printer prints precise and small things so beautifully, such as the numbers and the lenses
I still don’t have the parts I ordered (ECRF V2 kit), so I can’t put them together yet.

I’m a little proud having my old printer calibrated this well…hope the rest will go smooth either .
The sting is in the tail they say and I reckon programming s gonna take me som effort and sweat .

But hey …in the end it’ll be worth it

Have a question … please advise.

When mounting all this do I need an external screen of 5 or 7 inch to configure and test the ECRF???
I have one, but I can’t get the touch function to work (clipper screen installed)

So … should I buy one and which is the best, 5 or 7 and an Aliexpress or BTT or???

I read that Happy Hare will implement in Fluidd/mainsail soon, but how can I test everything without an external screen??

This top is dead? I allready have a 5"screen working so it doesn’t matter.

Why are you posting in JJ’s build thread then?

Sorry I’ve been busy at work. I always ran mine from Klipper screen but you should have all the macros in mainsail as well. But you do get a lot more control over things in happy hare version of Klipper screen.

I don’t have my ERCF anymore. it’s been passed along to someone who will hopefully have the time I didn’t have to play with it more and get it dialed in.

Ok, thanks you for answering .I felt a bit lonely
I’m glad I got this 5"screen working now , although not everything perfect ,
Video is perfect …touchscreen though //left and riht is ok …up and down is reversed…

I know it has to do with TransformationMatrix
Mine is now -1 0 1 0 -1 1 0 0 1 with up and down only reversed… trying to figure out how to solve it.

(Consider starting a new topic for your build so your posts don’t get buried in an old thread)

Did anyone ever try this: ERCF_v2/Recommended_Options/Filamentalist_Rewinder at master · Enraged-Rabbit-Community/ERCF_v2 · GitHub

It might be great for the Prusa MMU as well.
