Jackpot3 Straightforward?

Hello. I am completely new to the MPCNC and have mine completely built except for the controller and wiring kit. 1) Is the Jackpot3 controller suitable for a beginner, and is the setup fairly straightforward? 2) I want to eventually add a laser and cutter. Is the Jackpot3 expandable?

Hi Morris, it is always best to start your own thread, makes keeping the facts straight easier.

1- yes, it was designed for the new user.
2- Yes.

I purchased the 12V recommended power supply on Amazon a while back. Will the 12V power supply work with the Jackpot3, or do I need to order a 24V power supply?

Welcome aboard! Hope you get your LR4 up and running soon.

Thank you. I’m building the Primo. I hope to build a LR4 one day.

12V power supply will work with Jackpot 3.

I’d still advise 24V.

12V is fine. 24V is only used at higher speeds.

Thank you all for the answers. I am sooo stoked to have my Primo just about completed. It’s been a journey. Do you all suggest a case for the Jackpot3? If so, which one?

This one is purpose built for the LR4 but will work on a Primo and keep the board protected.

Its the only JP3 box I am aware of currently
