Issue with software not saving preferences after restart

Hi all,
I’ve been using the software for a while, and it’s been great, but lately, every time I restart the program, all my preferences and settings get reset. I’ve tried reinstalling it and clearing the cache, but no luck.
Has anyone else faced this issue? Any suggestions on what I might be missing?

Which software?

The different controllers available in the V1 shop run different firmware which will lead to different answers. In addition, there are several common CAM packages used (Estlcam, Fusion 360, etc.) so we need more details in order to be able to help.
