i cannot understand connection from my new xl board to HBS86 closed loop driver
german are not my best
Hey Claus,
Since this is an English forum, you don’t need too much German. Besides, no one can help you with the cryptic content of your message. Try to write the text in your native language and run it through Deepl or sth similar.
We need to know what kind of board you are talking about and need more information on the drivers etc.
My guess is that the existing instructions for that board are in German. Not that they were trying to speak german here.
Oh. Still, a translator would help. The stepper drivers are from Leadshine, so there should be an English manual as well.
there are english manual but my adhd are shortening my head when i looks at klemmenadapter xl drawing
That‘s okay, but with the information you provided helping you is next to impossible.
This is exactly what we need to try and help you- details.
Where did you buy your hardware from?
What documentation did they provide?
You’re using this EstlCAM controller?:
You’re using these CL steppers?
It does not appear that the EstlCAM XL has any native closed-loop support (it doesn’t directly read a position encoder), see the partial schematic below:
This means that the stepper/encoder/controller in the HBS86 just receives standard EN/DIR/Step signals.
You would wire it just like any other external stepper driver, for each axis you’d wire from the controller to the external driver the following signals:
GND - GND
EN - EN
STEP - STEP
DIR - DIR.
You’ll need to confirm whether the EstlCAM XL is common cathode or common anode.
My guess is that it is common cathode.
