If it is 220v and 1.5kw it should be 6.8 amps.
Man i really dont know what more to say other than check your wiring. My spindle/vfd worked right out of the box after the configs

You mean you swaped them after installing the hy vfd? The constant On with the Rx led according to Bart on some discord messages means: you have something wrong with your wires.
I will change that to 6.8, thank you.
Mine is the isolated rs485 module, yours is the regular rs485 correct. They are not very expensive, I may just grab one of those and see if that solves the issue.
It seems there must be a different parameter required for the isolated version.
I have been searching for a solution but it has not reviled itself.
I will change out the the blue/blue white wires for a different pair in the morning, see if that makes any difference.
Correct, i use the rs485 original module. The new ones are the isolated ones but they’re inside the box im kind of slow making upgrades , i have more than a month with 2 lr4 builds waiting for wiring, still in an early 2023 build version of FluidNc -if it ain’t broke dont try to fix it-
Now my advice.: open a ticket with the fluidnc guys, send them pictures of your wiring and setup , also dollow the procedure they ask, explain them what leds you have on and see if they can guide you, im sure they will. Do not buy another module unless its absolutely necessary
The spindle control is working!
I changed out the blue - blue/white wires for the orange - orange/white and it now works. This is a new cable but there must be something wrong with the blues as that is the only thing I changed.
Cesar, thank you for all the assistance as I worked my way though this issue. You sir have been more than helpful.
Awesome, now i bet you the other vfd should work. If it was a wiring issue man. Please test it and lets see if we can help others in the fluidnc community
I did the test with the FC01 VFD, I am still not able to get it to work. I was really hopeful it would work but I ran into the same issues as before. Once I replaced it with the HY02D223B everything came back to life.
I am positive the FC01 is more than capable of using RS485 but at this point is is beyond my knowledge base.
The HY is back on the CnC, the FC01 is in a box stored away for the inevitable, when the next build bug bites.
What machine are you using? A lowrider? Where you have your vfd licated: at the x axis beam? Front corner of the table?
I am using the Lowrider V4, the VFD is located just below the right front corner of my table. I have it beside my switch bank, I like to be able to see the display.
Mmm ↔ ce but i was thinking about placing mine over the x gantry. Would like to keep wiring to a minimum
