steped away for a couple of months for other projects. back at it and have a question. Is it not possible to cut from the sd card now like i could on my lr2. dont really want to leave my computer pluged into the cnc and no wifi in my shop
That is not normal. What happens? Are you able to see the files? Did you change the sd card?
We need some more info.

before i upgraded it to the version 3 i could load and cut from the sd card now in marlin mode i cant see the files on the sd card but i can on the touch screen. if the computer is connected i can cut directly from the computer which is not practical
Marlin mode is not touch enabled. That is dial control only. The dial is also a push button to select.
Does touch mode work?

i can see the files in the touch screen but can do anything with them select them nothing happens. I put the crown on an micro sd card and pluged it in and can see the files from the marlin menu when i select print the gantry moves and it seems like it is going to cut then stops and the power cycles.
Without trying to run a file can you use the screen to move the steppers in all directions?

Same results running my clean test crown file from both touch and marlin side?
i downloaded it put it on the micro sd card selected it from the menu started cutting with router off it started ran for about a min then the cnc power cycled again. it did get further than the code i tried first but still failed
i connected my laptop using usb and ran the file using repeater host and it ran the entire gcod no problem just can use the micro sd or the sd slot in the tft screen cant run anything from the touch screen it says no pinter attatched
It did the same thing on the marlin side as the touch side of the LCD? One side should work for sure.
so from the marlin side i have to use the sd micro on the skr board and it will load the file and start moving but for the touch screen i used the sd slot on the touch screen and it can see the file but i cant select it. the computer wors fine with the cable connected to the usb on my laptop
this all started whe i updated to the latest firmware i never had issue with my lowrider 2 can i just roll back the firmware ?
Did you update the SRK and the LCD? They have to match. I have never ran gcode off the SKR before, I did not even know you could.
i did update them both. but it is possible that one didn’t take or is corrupted. but if that was the case they shouldnt work with the computer
Flashing them is simple, a file on the card. Might as well do it again, you are using all of my files correct?
The LCD gets a lot of files and takes a few minutes to flash. Your SKR is working so I assume the LCD was not flashed correctly. Download this zip, https://github.com/V1EngineeringInc/BIGTREETECH-TouchScreenFirmware/releases/download/3-2023/CNC.TFT.Package.zip, unzip it, put the entire thing on the sd card and reboot the screen.

i flashed the tft with the files but no change. the touch screen says no printer attatched seems to be for a 3d printer
Did a few of the file extensions change to .CUR?
no they did not the blue light flashed a few times but thats all i noticed in the latest version that the sd card was disabled in Marlin
That means you have not flashed the LCD yet.
You are using an SD card and not the USB stick correct?
