No I dont
Windows makes a noise when you connect the USB?
Yes it make the noise when I plug it in
device manager show the board connected? Or an error?
Try Pronterface or matter control or something. Maybe it is just a repetier issue. Maybe the recent update did something.
Do you have link to any you recommend
Will they work with board and are they same set up
Yup, same thing
Let me download it now
Windows will still detect your rambo even if the power supply is bad. If your not seeing any serial comms at all I’d suggest testing your power supply with a multimeter.
You can double check if you’re getting serial comms in the arduino ide’s terminal. Just open up the terminal and change to the correct baud, if nothing then check every baud. Even scrambled text would be a good sign at this point.
That green light is only on with power. Two computers, two USB cable, the board is recognized. It has to be software, or a partial flash deleted everything. The only issue I have ever had is a com not showing up at all (missing bootloader) but I test them all before they leave and we are seeing a com port labeled rambo so that is not it for sure.
Anything I am missing?
I can plug my rambo in without external power and windows will see it, the USB supply is isolated and can’t power the board though.
I noticed the green light too, perhaps he’s browning out?
I haven’t had a bad power supply in a long long time. Without moving a stepper it would have to be super super low to brown out and still show a LED I assume.
Push the buttons in the bunches of circles there on the top left.
But first did you successfully connect?
In this window, it is still saying “Connecting…” So don’t worry about movements, it still hasn’t connected.
