Help develop the next MP3DP!?!

Okay, I tried to upload a gcode file, with only 3 small ones in the system. I am out of space. Uploads error out. I am doing a search by file size to try and find something suspicious.

Is there a trash can to empty or something?

RPTPRP = raptor

Rv5 for short.

Capped by flow rate until the new CHT nozzle arrives.

Keep Google out of this. It is an organic naming process. is there an acrynym for pterydactl?

I’d assume you already have tons of SEO for MP3DP. I’d say just keep it as MP3DPv5. The name is sweet

Vicious Adder v5 - Play on existing name, additive manufacturing, etc…

I tried convincing Chat GPT to play with the V1E logo, to form a Snake head as the basis for the Vicious Adder…

image

Me: Modify the attached logo to look like a snake head with a body curving down to form a curled shape similar to extruded filament

Me: Make the body curl like a turd, or extruded plastic. Keep these colors. Paste the original attached logo onto the head.

Me: Try making the body shaped like an ice cream emoji, but keep the snake head.

Me: chop bottom of the ice cream cone off to look like a 3D printer nozzle.

Wasn’t getting what I wanted. But generated enough examples to maybe spark idea(s) for something you like…

Vicious Adder. Wasn’t envisioning nozzle to begin with, was originally thinking something that’s a mash-up of the ice cream emoji depicting filament being extruded into a pile.

However, I like the idea of a Vicious Adder snake aggressively squeezing the crap out of the filament, so something along these lines…

Along these lines for other products you make now/future…

Vicious Cut
Vicious Burn
Vicious Plasma

Dang those are pretty good images. I am pretty shocked!

I am simple and really love the PP at the end!!!

Those are cool. I immediately went to “why is that snake coming out of the ice cream cone?”

So that CHT nozzle is handling 30.8mm3/s Like 500mm test. Long enough for the extruder to dip a couple degrees and come back up and settle. This is a 0.6mm nozzle though, not a 0.5 like the carbide.

HOLY Canoli batman, that is nuuts.

I do not think I was testing the other more than 100mm. But that Carbide nozzle got me 16-18mm3/s

So I think I will set it at 27mm3/s to be safe and listen for skips. I am assuming the added pressure of a layer adds to it, but it also will never extrude that much for a very long time.

To help put it in other terms (Flow Rate Calculator – Advanced 3D Printing)
The carbide got me 0.3mm layers, 0.6 width, at 85mm/s
This CHT gets me 0.3mm layers, 0.72 width, at 125mm/s
To slow that down a bit I will go back to slightly thicker layers.

CHT is no joke.

Sorry I was on a mission to try that nozzle!! This is really close. Adder is pretty cool. Two fangs two plates. Venom, fang, strike, slither, …hmm. I think I like adder. Dude you might have nailed it.

Those images are good but can it get more simple. think recognizable from a low res emboss on a printed part.

Adder , additive, two fangs two plates. I like it.

can we add some fangs to the V1 logo, or eyes and fangs?

It is kinda weird to say out loud.

Couldn’t you call it the V1 venom then? V1-nam. V1 New Adder Machine. (vinam ~ venom)

Start my build thread tomorrow. But for now I’ll just leave this here…

Those look so much better than tumbled

My brain processed that differently… So maybe not a good name.:smile:

You think so? I’m still on the fence about it. About to cut some more so we will see. I think they look better because they were cut on the LR3 instead of pu~~~ing out and using SNS LOL
